Blown Away! Pavement I heart you.
I eagerly anticipated the glory of this show, having waited 12 long years to see John Waite in concert. Back in 97, I had tickets for a Memphis show, but I was grounded and couldn't attend. Now, much older and free from consequences, I finally got to experience the band's performance, which exceeded my expectations. The venue was quite nice, with two huge parking lots across the street making it easy to commute. Parking was cheap ($5) and exiting the show was a breeze, with no real hold-ups.
I wanted to buy a T-shirt, but the huge lines after the show made me pass on it. The LC had standing space all around and seating on the balcony above, making it very personable. Easy access to the bar was a plus, and the show was all ages. They didn't have any IPA's, which disappointed this obsessive hop lover, but they had a few quality brews like Newcastle and Sierra Nevada.
My experience with the band and the venue was AWESOME! Thanks for doing a reunion show, guys. You really made this girl's decade and then some.
